Invoke view component from it's own view via user interaction.

I have a view component utilizing a paged-list class, so from the view component view I want to make additional calls to the view component effectively changing the "page" parameter.

To keep it simple my questions is how can I invoke the view component from the view that implements said view component on user interaction?
