We've developed some data driven applications using ASP.NET, WCF Services, SQL Server, Stored Procedures and Transactions.
We're deploying those applications on dedicated VPS with Windows Server 2012 R2, Intel Xeon Processor with 2GHz and 4GB RAM.
Our problem is we can't figure out till today what causes web application take so long to process request and give response. We've explored many ways to decrease wait period such as not using cookies etc. Implemented those in our development with no success. We are also looking forward to ASP MVC for better performance but can't decide.
Can you please let us know what can be done to increase the overall speed of the data driven web application?
Many big players like Invision are dumping ASP.NET and switching to J2EE framework. Sometimes it's not motivating us to continue with the ASP.NET. What's wrong with beloved ASP.NET?
