I have searched for this and thus far have found precious little on how I get my MVC 6 project with EF7 that I created with VS 2015 and connected to localdb/MSSQLLocalDB to be published on Azure and connect to a database that exists in Azure..
- How do you publish a MVC 6 project that has a "DefaultConnection" string in the appsettings.json file to Azure and ensure that it now connects to a database on Azure. I dont know how to configure my project for production and for an azure connection string?
- Further, once you have your project working in Azure with an Azure database how do you keep that database in sync with your current dev's migrations? Is there a simple tutorial that manages this? is there a way to update your azure database without loosing the current information in it...
