Honest opinion on the future of Webforms and Visual Basic

Hi All,

Looking at the past on how Microsoft had treated Visual Basic, I am seeing the same thing being applied with Webforms in the sense

of having less tutorials and features for Webforms when compared with MVC.

Looking at the vNext Webpage:

http://www.asp.net/vnext

There are zero mentions of Webforms or Visual basic, all that is there are MVC with C#

On GitHub no repositories for Webforms or Visual Basic.

Looking at Microsoft Certifications and see the same thing, no more certifications for Visual Basic or Web Forms, only MVC and C#.

Wanted to have official confirmation if possible, but at least everyone's honest opinion on what they think the future of Web Forms and Visual Basic for Web application development is?
